Here come the....

...birds!

Yup, as promised, here are a couple of new goodies added to the site today;

These are just....so....cute!!!! Delicate and made completely of Sterling Silver, these gorgeous little doves just flew into Zaksjewel today. I don't think they're going to be flying around for long though, as I'm certain someone is going to want to give them a good home very soon. (Quite possibly me!) See them here.

I 'love' this next bracelet;

(ahem, sorry.) This really has grace and elegance abound. The little Sterling Silver centrepiece has the word 'love' embossed on it, with a sweet little heart. The double strand of Sterling Silver chain is very delicate, so much so you can hardly feel it on your wrist. This is all then finished off with a tiny little toggle clasp - gorgeousnessessesss!!! New season......

new things!! Yes, the reason I haven't blogged much lately is because I have been a busy bee creating exciting new things!! Finally I am at last ready to start putting them up on the site - Hooray!!!

Let's start with some fantastic necklaces shall we?

I realised that I didn't have anything in the way of precious stone-set jewellery on the site, so this little Sterling Silver heart is the first foray into this area. It has a very natural, slightly hammered finish to it, and is set with a gorgeous little opal, which is one of my favourite gemstones. I've suspended it from a delicate Sterling Silver snake chain, which always set any pendant off beautifully. See it here.

You may remember a while ago, I introduced a gorgeous stainless steel blue and silver butterfly necklace. Well, now there's a gorgeous dragonfly too!

This pendant is so highly polished, that it is really hard to take a good picture of it! The wings have a lovely gold finish, and the body silver, both of which are highly reflective. There also a little clear crystal in the head, which adds to the whole sparkliness! See it here.

Finally, time for a bit of cuteness!

This sweet little Sterling Silver nest is so lovely! To highlight all the detail, it's been slightly oxidised and the eggs have been enamelled with a really vivid turquoise colour. It's small, delicate and loaded with the cute factor! See it here.

Forget Christmas Sparkle, Get Some Zaksjewel Sparkle!!

Yes, unbelievably, there are yet more new items to be had at Zaksjewel!! Madness, I know!

First off, we have another new addition to the fantastic 'Elements' range, which is made using recycled bits and pieces. This gorgeous choker necklace is made up of vintage brass bars with a shiny silver finish. They all sit between fine Sterling Silver Belcher chain, finished off with a Sterling Silver toggle clasp. This would definitely finish off that Christmas outfit perfectly with a bit of style to boot! Find it here.

Now, I found out today that a group of butterflies isn't a herd, but a 'flutter' which suits this next necklace from Zaksjewel down to the ground (or perhaps the air...ahem!) Anyway, here it is;

This is in the very on-trend 'bib' style and looks fantastic on! Each butterfly is silver-plated, and they all float delicately from a gorgeous, fine Sterling Silver chain with a Sterling Silver toggle clasp. WANT!!! See it here. This pendant just screams elegance. It's made from steel, and is engraved to give a beautiful effect just like real butterfly wings. The Ears Have It!

Particularly here at Zaksjewel, where there are earrings galore!

To kick us off, we have this gorgeous pair;

 I love the simplistic elegance of these, but also the fact that they are big and bold! The beautiful Rhodium-Plated wire flowers actually measure 3.5 x 3cm, and look fabulous dangling from the Sterling Silver earwires. Go on, make a statement, you know you want to! See them here.

This pretty little pair will make you feel like it's spring all year round, with the gorgeous pastel-coloured faceted glass stones hanging beautifully from the lovely little Rhodium-Plated flower earwires. Last, but not least, we have some proper glamour. Pearls, gotta love pearls! You just can't go wrong with them really. Wrap Up In Style...

...no, sorry not in a snuggly scarf, but in these fantastic new wrap bracelets from Zaksjewel!

 I love these bracelets, particularly because you can wear them with just about anything, to any occasion. Each one is made from a different coloured cord, with different charms depending on your taste. The charms vary from Karen Hilltribe Sterling Silver, genuine freshwater pearls, genuine copper, to genuine Swarovski crystals. As if that wasn't enough, each bracelet is then finished off with a Karen Hilltribe Sterling Silver hammered button clasp. Phew!! See them here.

Element-ary My Dear Zaksjewelers!

So, with the new-look website come lots of new exciting designs, and I thought I'd share some of them with you. To kick us off, the new 'Elements' range, the collection name having been chosen by Zaksjewel fans far and wide!

I've been wanting to create a range of jewellery with recycling in mind for quite a while, and I finally found the look I wanted. All of these earrings have been created from vintage brass cut links that have been polished and smoothed to give a lovely gold-coloured finish, or plated with a gorgeous shiny silver finish. They are then finished off with Sterling Silver earwires. They aren't heavy at all and look amazing on.

They are totally unique, not to mention really elegant. Definitely a talking point! See them here.

Using the same principle, I have also designed some gorgeous new bracelets.

I used the same style oval links as the earrings, so that they could be worn as a set, and of course there is the signature Sterling Silver heart-shaped toggle clasp that adorn many of the Zaksjewel bracelets! They are really delicate and once again you won't find anything like them anywhere else. See them here.

I also wanted to show just how elegant using recycled materials can be, so I have also created this necklace and bracelet set;

I love jewellery that uses the look of 'elements' (ha!) of nature, and so these leaves, cut from vintage steel, are just perfect. They drape so beautifully around the wrist and neckline, and I'm really tempted to keep them for myself! The chains are Sterling Silver, and once again use the Sterling Silver heart-shaped toggle clasps to finish them off.

AHEM, (DRUM ROLL PLEASE)...............................after much tooing and froing, deliberation and cogitation, fish and chips, I am very pleased to announce that THE NEW ZAKSJEWEL SITE IS NOW LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been an extremely educational, frustrating and, erm, interesting journey, but I have finally managed to sort out all the difficulties I was having in setting up the new-look site. Unfortunately, I have had to change the website address to www.zaksjewel.net, but that was due to a company-that-shall-not-be-named causing me extreme problems in trying to use the old one.

HOWEVER,

you can now go to the new site and a good old nosey at all the brand new sparklies that are just ready and waiting to be worn by someone!
